Yakshas are an important element in Thai temple art and architecture as guardians of the gates in Buddhist temples. These are spirits in nature which can be good or bad. The equivalent in Hindu mythology is referred to as Bhairav (Bhairo or Bhairon). Miniature idols may have minor polishing or casting blemishes that can't be avoided at this size.
