Phra Phrom in Thai or Brahma in Hindus is the God of Creation. According to puranas, Brahma has four faces representing four Vedas or knowledge coming from four directions: north, south, east and west. He is also known as the Grandfather and as a later equivalent of Prajapati, the primeval first god. In early Hindu sources such as the Mahabharata, Brahma is supreme in the triad of great Hindu gods which includes Shiva and Vishnu. Cast in Brass and handpolished and refined by Indian craftsmen this is an extremely rare miniature metallic statue of Brahma.
